Brighton Festival 2011
This year’s internationally renowned Brighton Festival offered a powerful and exciting programme of cultural events in celebration of guest director Aung San Suu Kyi and her quest for peace and freedom in Burma. The themes of freedom and liberty were expressed through music, dance, circus, theatre, art, film, talks and many fantastic free outdoor events for all ages by local and international artists and performers.

The Festival Brochure, a comprehensive guide to what’s on, forms an essential part of the marketing strategy for the Festival as a whole. Impact’s brief was to distribute 135,000 brochures over a 13 week period to a wide range of prospective audiences in Brighton, Sussex and beyond.
Using customised, festival-branded cardboard holders, Impact secured display opportunities in over 2500 venues in Brighton and Sussex, ensuring that residents, visitors and tourists were able to avail themselves of a guide to the hottest tickets in town. Strategically positioned dumpbins, with a larger capacity, in high-footfall locations such as train stations, supermarkets and shopping centres guaranteed brochures were permanently available and visibility remained high at all times.
In addition to the brochure campaign, Impact distributed show-specific leaflets to carefully selected target groups across Sussex; highlights leaflets across London; posters and stickers to cafes and retailers across Brighton.
Throughout the process Impact worked closely with the Brighton Festival marketing team, sharing knowledge and experience to deliver an unrivalled service.
We’re proud to report that this year’s Festival campaign was our most successful to date, creating widespread awareness of the programme of events and, most importantly, contributing to fantastic ticket sales.
