UKTV – Eden Inspires
Last year, UKTV launched a special campaign for their natural history channel Eden. Their aim was to encourage families to spend more time together in the great outdoors and to reconnect with nature.

To inspire interest, UKTV ran a competition mechanic online, offering 5 families the chance to win an exclusive camping experience in the Forest of Dean.
Impact was called upon to distribute 20,000 promotional postcards targeting ABC1 families over the Summer holidays.
The lion’s share of postcards was placed inside family-friendly venues with plenty of dwell time (children’s libraries, theatres, museums, doctor’s waiting rooms etc) in and around London. Distribution was scheduled four weeks before the competition closing date.
To compliment the campaign, we carried out some weekend handout shifts at popular family attractions including Natural History Museum, London Aquarium and Notting Hill Carnival. This allowed our friendly Promotions Team to properly engage with the public and provide further details on the Eden competition.
Overall, the campaign was a success: we were able to effectively and efficiently penetrate the client’s target audience; high pick-up rates were reported across all relevant network runs; and our handout staff received excellent anecdotal and photographic feedback on the street.
UKTV was so impressed with our work that they later employed our services for a Safari-themed PR event in Tower Bridge (check out our beautiful staff)!
