InfoBikes
The InfoBikes are a globally unique concept that represents an evolution to traditional Tourism Information Centres.
The InfoBikes are the official visitor information points operating every summer in London’s South Bank, Bankside and London Bridge.
Former Visit London Award winners for Best Visitor Information Initiative and TFL Smarter Travel Award for Best Marketing & Communications Campaign of 2010, the InfoBikes are managed by Impact on behalf of SBEG, Better Bankside and Team London Bridge.
The Bikes are strategically placed on the Thames riverfront in order to provide information to South Bank, Bankside and London Bridge visitors.
Summer 2012 is set to be particularly busy for the InfoBike Team: the South Bank InfoBike will benefit from increased footfall generated by the events like the Festival of the World at Southbank Centre, Watch this Space festival at National Theatre and Trafalgar Square Live Site during the Paralympic Games.
The Bankside InfoBike will see an increased number of visitors attracted by, amongst other things, the Damien Hirst and Edward Munch exhibitions exhibitions at Tate Modern and Switzerland’s Olympic Nation House at Glaziers Hall, as well as the opening of the south side of Blackfriars tube station and World Shakespeare Festival events taking place at the Globe Theatre.
The London Bridge InfoBike will be located in close proximity to the Potters Field Olympic Festival, which will give hundreds of thousands visitors the chance to see live screenings of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Live Site, as well as a number of live events and performances taking place during the Games.
The InfoBikes will be operating every weekend and bank holiday from 1st June to September 9th and on weekdays during Games time near the Live Sites and Olympic Houses.
